Amazon Readers’ 5-Star reviews for
A River Runs Through it by Rose Senehi
Totally awesome and I highly recommend this book.
This book is amazing! I was there when the hurricane hit and it was total devastation. It’s like I’m reliving it reading the book. The author, Rose Senehi, hit the nail on the had with this book.
Excellent book focused on resilience
I really like the way the author focused on recovery instead of the tragedy. It could be used as a case study on recovery from a natural disaster. A very inspiring read.
Heartbreaking yet beautiful.
Fantastic book.
The reader feels, as much as they can, not only the horror and destruction but the love and concern of so many people from all over the USA.
A book for generations to come.
A wonderfully detailed story of the disaster, how it affected so many in the quaint village of Chimney Rock, NC, and the dedication of those who brought it from the darkness of despair to the light of hope and recovery. The dedication of all involved to dig out the rubble and restore what was left of businesses and homes is an amazing story. A touch of fictional romance is in all of Senehi’s books to make the reading fun. It touched me personally since our family’s coffee shop and my son’s home were totally destroyed by the wrath of Hurricane Helene on that fateful day in September 2024.
Loved It!
What an excellent read—especially if you cherish Chimney Rock and the surrounding area. I can’t tell you the last time I read a book and finished it in a week. It really puts you in the middle of everything. Like someone aptly put it... “This will be a piece of history that future generations will read to understand what happened with the flood. Beautiful writing!"
